Anderson Harp Releases First Book in Will Parker Series

Anderson Harp has served the United States Marine Corps in many capacities. His service in the military around the globe as well as his love of crafting high speed thriller stories prompted him in writing Book One of the Will Parker Series titled “Northern Thunder: A William Parker Mission,” (published by Archway Publishing).

Marine recon veteran and small-town prosecutor William Parker is recruited by a dark-ops taskforce run by the CIA and Pentagon. His mission is to infiltrate the Hermit Kingdom and find Peter Nampo, a talented scientist who is developing missile technology capable of eliminating its enemies’ satellites in space and delivering a nuclear payload into the heart of the United States. It is not only the North Koreans that he cannot trust.

Some of the most popular reviews for this book series read:

—Brad Meltzer, New York Times bestselling author of “The President’s Shadow”

“Visceral writing and authentic detail make Northern Thunder a masterwork of military fiction.”
—Rebecca Cantrell, New York Times bestselling author of “The World Beneath”

Douglas Preston

Douglas Preston

New York Time’s Bestselling author Douglas Preston rates Retribution outstanding. Preston, who has one of the most loyal followings of fans in fiction writing, doesn’t hand out grades like that often.

“Retribution is just outstanding.”Preston wrote.

‘Doug Preston is one of the most interesting writers I know.” Harp said. “He has this wealth of experiences that he imports into his writing. I would love to ride with him on one of his horseback trips across New Mexico.” Preston wrote of his horseback trips that he often takes.

Retribution’s lead character Will Parker has a similar reliance on one’s ability to handle challenges.

Two Anderson Harps?

Yes, there are two Anderson Harp’s. One is studying at Columbia. He’s the smart one. He also has as his twitter handle @anderson_harp. And then there is the author and retired Marine who goes by Anderson “Andy” Harp. He’s the father.

“When I was in college and competing in cross country and track, we would run against Columbia at Van Cortlandt Park in the ICAAAA’s. That is as close as I have come to Columbia. I am proud of the student.” Harp, the author, said. Harp the author didn’t do too bad. He was selected for the All-ICAAAA Team.

Goodreads Five Stars

A recent post at Goodreads rated Retribution five stars. The story behind it is even better.

Andrea posted, “I’ve just finished reading an uncorrected, pre-release, galley of Anderson Harp’s “Retribution” and I’m happy to say it kept it’s excitement consistent and my interest intact from the first chapter to the last. I thoroughly enjoyed it and look forward to Harp’s next novel.

“I don’t know how she got the pre-release galley, but I hope she gets them for the rest of my writing career.” Harp said. “Her comments are what keep an author going through that third re-write.”

Lee Child

On a night flight to London, famed novelist Lee Child had the chance to read Anderson “Andy” Harp’s new novel Retribution. He liked what he read. Child wrote of Retribution, “Tense and authentic—reading this book is like living a real-life mission.”

“The creator of Jack Reacher!” Harp was humbled by the review. “Everyone of his novels is uniquely different and captivating. I am happy the flight didn’t get canceled!” Will Parker is unique in his own way.
